1: Dedicated Photo service

LiveShots can be hired solely for photography. For this service, I use a 24-megapixel Panasonic 'Lumix S5ii' camera, which has great clarity and low grain noise in low-light scenes. I also bring along LED panel lights to increase the characteristics of the image, rather than blast repeated flash lighting all night.

Need XXL? For posed shots, where you hold still for a second or two, the camera can rapidly shoot 4 photos and combine them into a massive 96-megapixel image - a resolution high enough to print an A1 size poster @ 300dpi!

The cost is variable, depending on location, how many pictures you want, and whether I am staying for the whole event or just 'popping in' for 10 minutes. Please get in contact with some details to get your bespoke quote.

A bit of Tech Jargon

The photographs are all captured in the professional 'RAW' format, rather than JPEG. This is the equivalent of a 'digital negative'; more suited to colour and shade adjustments in Photoshop and holds much higher detail in the shadows & highlights. JPEG is processed and compressed on-the-fly, in-camera. Musicians can relate to this as the difference between recording in 24-bit WAV, ready for mix ⁄ mastering, rather than MP3 files.
Once edited, we can supply you JPEG photos in their full size, or sizes and format specific to your needs.

2: Video Freeze-Frame

If you want to add static photos along with your video production and keep your costs low, ‘Freeze Frame’ is your best option. Our filming is always shot in Ultra-HD (4k) resolution, equivelant to 8MegaPixels in photo terms. This isn't suitable for poster size prints, but it is fine for social media.

During the video editing process, any one of these thousands of video frames can be copied into Photoshop as a static photo and fine-tuned with all the tricks of this top-level software. EG teeth & eye whitening, spot removal, light/dark patch correction, fine colour adjustments and frame cropping.

As standard in our video service, we will provide 1 Photoshop edited freeze-frame per video file, tailored for video thumbnails with your logo and other titles added.
